About Us
The Dance Center
The Dance Center on Main is under the direction of Dance Masters of America certified instructor Jennifer Boone Stone. Students of all ages will have the opportunity to strengthen their minds and bodies as they grow to love the art of dance. From the very beginning creative movement class to the most advanced level dance classes, our students gain a solid understanding of proper technique and dance terminology. Studies have found that dance training helps the student prepare to meet the challenges of everyday life such as creative problem solving, discipline, concentration, respect, and relationships with peers and classmates. Our curriculum fosters physical awareness and improves the student's body carriage, poise, coordination, and appreciation for the art while experiencing the sheer joy of movement. For the serious dancer or the student who dances for recreation, dance helps promote self esteem and provides an excellent outlet for creativity.

There is a $25 annual registration fee per student that must accompany the registration form in order to reserve a student's place in class. Our year is based on ten months of tuition-August through May. If you register you are considered to be with us for the full term. The first month's tuition must be paid before the student enters the school. All other monthly payments (Sept-May) are due on the 1st Monday of each month. There is a $10 late fee for tuition not paid by the 15th of the month regardless of what day the 15th falls on. Monthly tuition is figured on an average number of classes per month. Tuition is the same if the studio is closed for a holiday or if your child misses a lesson; therefore we do not charge extra when there are five lessons in a month. Tuition for additional immediate family members living in the same household will be discounted 25%. Single session classes may be taken at $10.00 per hour. Private lessons may be scheduled through the office for $40 per hour.
Students are encouraged to study more than one form of dance. Experience has proven that students taking two or more forms of dance progress at a much greater speed and have a longer interest period. Because of this, the tuition is considerably less for those taking two or more classes per week.
