Performance Companies
For the serious dancer, the Dance Center on Main provides a performance team, "Diamonds and Pearl". This dedicated and talented group of dancers will have exposure to professional workshops and world-renowned choreographers and teachers through national conventions and competitions. There are required auditions for the "Diamonds and Pearl" performance team. In order to audition the student must be age 7 or older and have had previous training. These dancers are required to take Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Acrobatics and dance at least 5 hours a week at the studio. This group of students is not only talented but they will provide great role models for the school and the community.
Miss Jennifer is the director and choreographer for the Diamonds & Pearl Competition Team and The Dance Center on Main Performance Company. She will select the dancers that she considers to be ready to take on this responsibility according to their abilities and attitude. These dancers, who shall be well-rounded performers in each offered area of dance, will be expected to dance at least 5 hours at the studio and must be willing to do the necessary weekend rehearsals. These dancers will be asked to perform and to travel to competitions and other dance shows. Miss Jennifer will normally give out invitations during the summer before the upcoming dance year.
