Policies and Forms
Rules and Regulations
- Every student and parent is expected to read and follow the rules of The Dance Center on Main.
- The school reserves the right to dismiss any student whose attitude or conduct is unsatisfactory.
- Students and parents should check the bulletin board in the lobby periodically to be aware of all notices posted.
- All registration fees, tuition, recital fees, costumes, etc. are non-refundable.
Dress Code
- Ballet - All girls must wear pink tights and pink ballet shoes and a solid color leotard (black is recommended). Ballet skirts are optional and hair should be neatly secured in a bun (no ponytails).
- Tap - Black Flat heeled tap shoes are required. Students must wear a leotard and tights with the option of jazz pants. Hair must be secured away from face in a bun or ponytail.
- Jazz - Black jazz shoes are required. Students must wear a leotard and tights with the option of jazz pants. Hair must be secured away from face in a bun or ponytail.
- Gymnastics - Students must wear a leotard or tight fitting clothing and bare feet. Hair must be secured away from face in a bun or ponytail.
- Hip Hop - Tank top or t-shirt & shorts. Hair in pony tail.
- No heavy jewelry or loose fitting clothes should be worn to any class.
Drop Policy
Students should only add or drop a class at the beginning of each month since tuition will not be prorated. If at any time you need to withdraw, you must NOTIFY THE OFFICE IN WRITING prior to the month of withdrawal. Non-attendance is not considered withdrawal from class. Monthly charges continue and tuition is due until we receive written notification of withdrawal. If a student drops mid-year they must wait until the next year to re-join, unless special arrangements are made with the office.
